In this week’s  IN-PERSON SERIES, Part 1: Gentle Yoga for the HIPS, we will use breath, movement, and sound to relax, explore, and stabilize the upper back, neck and shoulders. This gentle class is suitable for all levels of students and beginners are welcome. The practice will include standing, seated, and mat poses.

New students must complete a health form before class.

Our fresh-air venue at  United Church of Tallahassee, 1834 Mahan Dr, Tallahassee, FL 32308 has a covered roof and is screened. Students will enter directly onto the deck from the outside and will  have an assigned space that is safely distanced from others. I also encourage you to wear a mask until you are situated on your yoga mat. We will have access to bathrooms within the church.

Each student is responsible for bringing the following:

  • a yoga mat or blanket to lie on,
  • a blanket or pillow for your head, and
  • a bolster, or extra pillow or rolled-up towel or blanket for the closing relaxation, and
  • any additional props that would maximize your comfort and safety during the practice.
