Description
This week in honor of the upcoming Valentine’s Day, we’ll consider the benefits of living with an open heart. When the energy of our Heart Cakra is open and flowing well, we are self-confident, open to others, compassionate, forgiving, hopeful and emotionally empowered. When our heart closes down, mistrust of others and life in general can reign.
In our practice this Tuesday, we’ll use movement (ASANA), breath (PRANYAMA) and sound (CHANTING) to reflect on our sense of personal empowerment and how that can make you more open with yourself. When you are more trusting of yourself, you are more open to trusting others. Then you are less fearful and more capable of heartfelt communication which strengthens your relationships with others.
All of which will increase your sense of well-being and vitality and capacity for compassion.
If this is your first time attending Gentle Yoga for Vitality, you will need to complete a health form before class.
Our classes are held at The United Church of Tallahassee, 1834 Mahan Dr, Tallahassee, FL 32308.
Each student is responsible for bringing the following:
- a yoga mat or blanket to lie on,
- a blanket or pillow for your head, and
- a bolster, or extra pillow or rolled-up towel or blanket for the closing relaxation, and
- any additional props that would maximize your comfort and safety during the practice.
